Every session I photograph, I emphasize the natural beauty around, whether we are on a mountainside in Big bend or in a lush river valley in the hill country. To me, it's an important part of the story and I dang sure will document it.

Shelby did a phenomenal job at capturing a very, very special moment in our lives. We knew we wanted to get engaged at the McDonald Observatory under the Milky Way, but we were nervous about being able to fully capture the moment on camera. Shelby was able to do just that for us and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how the photographs turned out! Not only do we love how we look in each and every photo, but the sky is absolutely breathtaking.
On top of it, Shelby was very patient and really listened to our requests - so if you have a dream in mind of what you want your engagement to look like, I can guarantee you that Shelby will be able to capture it on camera exactly how you envision it (if not better honestly)!

Her photos of our special day are prized and cherished. Shelby captured the subtlety of each of our personalities during the structure of a wedding. For my fiance and I engagement shoot we wanted to do something out of the box, nothing traditional. He researched photographers in Marfa texas and Shelby was referred to us by a former Marfa resident/photographer. Shelby fell right in our laps. The line of communication was so genuine and warming we knew we made the right choice. We drove 10 hours for our shoot and super excited for the experience. We met Shelby and she was such a sweetheart. The first shoot (day 1), she made us feel so comfortable and warm even on the cold windy mountain. She was so patient when I had to retouch my make up because my eyes kept watering. The second shoot (day 2) we felt like naturals lol. She captured all the great angles and it was so hard to decide which ones to choose for our save the dates and invitations. We have gotten so much love and positive feedback about our photos, we felt like we were on the cover of vogue. Lol Shelby is literally a genius behind the lense. She has the sweetest soul, transparent, fun, and will go all out for her clients. Thank you Shelby for everything and Ry and I will be seeing you soon.
